Invitation to Filipinos in Jersey City: PAFCOM’s 19th Friendship and Coronation Ball

A week after CAM’s Pre-Santacruzan Ball 2009, PAFCOM will hold their 19th Friendship and Coronation Ball at the same hotel: Sheraton Newark Hotel in Newark, New Jersey.

For starters, Philippine-American Friendship Committee, Inc. (PAFCOM) is one of the most active socio-civic organizations in Tri-State area, and every June they hold an annual Grand Parade and Festival here in Jersey City.

This Gala/Ball on May 24th will benefit the said June parade. During this event, PAFCOM will crown five beautiful and talented women as PAFCOM’s Beauties for the year 2009.

Donation for the Coronation Ball 2009 is $75 per person. Net proceeds will fund the annual Philippine-American Friendship Day Parade and Festival here in Jersey City, NJ on June 28, 2009. The June event will feature floats, festivals, street fairs, and of course, the popular Grand Finals of the Filipino Idol 2009.

Before the 31st Annual Santacruzan 2009 here in Jersey City happens on the 24th this month, a Pre-Santacruzan Ball will take place in Newark, NJ this coming Saturday, May 9, 2009. This Gala will include special performances as well as the musical stylings of the Golden band. The highlight of the evening will be the Presentation of Reyna Elenas and the Hermanos y Hermanas Mayores.

31^st ANNUAL SANTACRUZAN BALL , NEW JERSEY

The Catholic Action of Mary will hold it’s 31^st Annual Santacruzan Presentation Ball on Saturday, May 9^th 2009 at Sheraton Hotel, Newark, NJ, announced Ledy Almadin , President. This Gala will include special performances as well as the musical stylings of the Golden band. The highlight of the evening will be the Presentation of Reyna Elenas and the Hermanos y Hermanas Mayores.

The Santacruzan Mass and Procession will be held on May 24^th 2009 at St. Mary’s Church on 2^nd Street between Manila Avenue and Erie St. Mass will start at 2:30 pm and it will immediately followed by the Procession with the Hermanos, Hermanas, Sagalas, flower girls, angels and the Reynas. Catholic Action of Mary , in collaboration with PACCAL, will be also celebrating with a Street Fair with flea market and food vendors from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and, there will be entertainment from 12:00-2:00 pm and 5:00 to 9:00 pm.

PAFCOM Grand Marshal Gala Night

The Philippine-American Friendship Committee, Inc.(PAFCOM) will have its Grand Marshal Gala night on March 21, 2009, Saturday, at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Hotel Newark Airport from 7 PM until 12 MN.

This year Grand Marshal is Dr. Lorie Lizardo who is a Diplomate in Psychiatry and Neurology with private practice in East Orange, NJ and currently the Medical Director of the Mental Health Unit of St. James and St. Michael Medical Centers and has been the past president of the Philippine Medical Society of New Jersey.
