Another Filipino – Chris Velazco – stars in a commercial. Featured in True Stories: Best Buy commercial, phone geek Chris Velazco enthusiastically tells us how Best Buy can help customers with their phones. She told me that “Eat Bulaga” announced it at the middle of their show (play the vid below). I knew Francis Magalona was ill, and there was no doubt in my mind that he will recover. But I was wrong. Upon learning about the sad news, I went to youtube to look for info. Below is the youtube version of Eat Bulaga’s announcement: I grew up listening to “Kiko” and his songs. His popular rap about the Philippines and Filipinos “Mga Kababayan Ko” made him a household name. But my favorite “FrancisM” song is “Kaleidoscope Word” (Lyrics below). Play the video and sing with me: I just saw a funny Skittles commercial featuring a Pinoy tailor and a Filipino in a mirror. The tailor is measuring up a gentleman, but the reflection he sees in the mirror is a Filipino eating Skittles.
