Filipino inmates in Cebu who were made famous by their “Thriller Dance” a couple of years ago, perform a dance tribute to their late idol Michael Jackson. Just two days after Jackson died, the inmates practiced for at least 9 hours Friday, “and into the wee hours of Saturday morning” – for the latest show, according the the news. She told me that “Eat Bulaga” announced it at the middle of their show (play the vid below). I knew Francis Magalona was ill, and there was no doubt in my mind that he will recover. But I was wrong. Upon learning about the sad news, I went to youtube to look for info. Below is the youtube version of Eat Bulaga’s announcement: I grew up listening to “Kiko” and his songs. His popular rap about the Philippines and Filipinos “Mga Kababayan Ko” made him a household name. But my favorite “FrancisM” song is “Kaleidoscope Word” (Lyrics below).
